Jaecheol Lee is a Vice President of IMNEWRUN, serving as a Scientific Advisor. Dr. Lee has expertise in drug discovery, molecular biology and disease modeling. He is also associate professor of School of Pharmacy at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) and Chair for department of Biopharmaceutical Convergence at SKKU. His research interests lie within the modeling of rare human diseases using patient-specific induced pluripotent stem cells. His overarching research goals include identifying novel therapeutic targets and developing drug screening platforms utilizing patient-specific induced pluripotent stem cells.​ Before joining IMNEWRUN, Dr. Lee had already established a successful career in academia. In 2011, he earned her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology with a major in Pharmacy from Sungkyunkwan University. From 2011 to 2017, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine. In 2017, Dr. Lee joined a research team as an instructor at the Cardiovascular Institute in Stanford University School of Medicine. There, he contributed to modeling rare genetic disorders using patient-specific induced pluripotent stem cells.​ In 2018, Dr. Lee returned to Korea and appointed as an assistant professor at Sungkyunkwan University School of Pharmacy. He played a crucial role in establishing a Biopharmaceutical Convergence Research Center located at DRC School of Pharmacy SKKU. He also served as the chairperson of the department of Biopharmaceutical Convergence at SKKU. Recognized for his achievements in science, he was designated as a member of Young Korean Academy of Science and Technology (Y-KAST) in 2020. He completed his BS and MS degrees in Pharmacy at Sungkyunkwan University.​
