Hyouna Yoo is a Vice President and leader of Translational Science Group of IMNEWRUN. She has more than 20 years’ experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. With a strong background in antibody/recombinant protein therapeutics development, she worked as a versatile scientist and researcher with demonstrated expertise in immunology coupled with various experiences with chronic diseases including infections, inflammations and cancers. Expanded her role to project lead, R&D management, corporate strategic planning, and business development, she has vast drug development experience across early-stage research, preclinical, clinical development as well as commercial programs and has accomplished in driving innovation and growth of R&D organization where she belonged. Prior to joining IMNEWRUN, Dr. Yoo was the Head of R&D Center & Research & Early Development(RED) group at GC Biopharma, where she led the early-stage pipeline development and played a pivotal role in business development. Previously, she served as Director of R&D Strategic Planning, leading corporate R&D strategy and portfolio management. She also served as a project leader at ISU Abxis, advancing several programs from concept to IND in oncology and inflammatory diseases. Dr. Yoo earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Science from Ewha Womans University, a Master of Science degree in Biological Science from KAIST(Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), and a Ph. D. in Immunology from the Division of Biomedical Science at Seoul National University. ​
