Han-Joo Kim serves as the CEO and co-founder of IMNEWRUN, where he assumes responsibility for overseeing all organizational operations and spearheading the development of cutting-edge platform technologies and novel therapeutics. With an extensive career spanning over 17 years, Dr. Kim brings a unique blend of scientific, analytic, and business skills, driving new technology development, translational research, and clinical trial designs. As an entrepreneur, he has experience in all phases of drug development, multiple regulatory interactions, new drug approvals, and deal transactions.​ Before founding IMNEWRUN in 2019, Dr. Kim led talented teams in R&D strategy, business development, and biostatistics at Yuhan Corporation. His contributions include designing innovative clinical studies in oncology trials and leading clinical advisory board meetings on Lazertinib, as well as partnering meetings, later licensed out to Johnson & Johnson. He also led the establishment of a joint venture and global licensing deals, including Boehringer Ingelheim and Gilead Science. His contributions were vital to the transformative journey of the company, fostering innovation and a global outlook.​ Prior to his role at Yuhan, Dr. Kim served as a lead statistical scientist at global pharmaceutical companies including Forest Lab (now Allergan), Novartis, and Eisai. He played a key role in developing quantitative strategies for respiratory and oncology drug development programs, implementing modern trial designs and statistical model-based approaches. Dr. Kim holds a B.S. in statistics from the George Washington University and an M.S. and Ph.D. in biostatistics from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
